In Paris streets

our apartment was on the rue Denfert Rochereau , in the 14th arrondissement, very centralized and close to a lot of interesting location. It was at walking distance of the Catacomb.  it was very close to  2 lines of metro , the lines 4 and 6. We  never had to used a car or a taxi.
We went quite a few time down the rue Denfert Rochereau and all around and we were starting to think we were Parisians.

the flight and the arrival in Paris.

Beautifully flight planned by Tricia and every thing went smoothly. We were even lucky to get a plane that was almost empty a very rare occurrence. I slept very well ,Tricia not so well and she got a little jealous of people who were sleeping  around her. The trip from Berlin too Paris was not so fun there was a lot of delayed flights and our was 3 hours late . It will not have been so bad if they had not let us wait about 1 hour standing in line. But then it was finally the arrival in Paris.  Beautiful Paris under the sun. I have to say Paris is always in my mind painted in all tones of greys, the 4 days we spend in Paris were beautifully sunny , not the romantic Paris of my dream but extremely nice for a  4 days visit.

We took a taxi to go directly to our apartment, the driver like most driver in Paris was a crazy driver , he was from Algeria and told us all kind of stories about his family , may be so we will not notice his very wild  erratic driving.

Gisele found a beautiful apartment for us at a time of the year where it is not easy to find any place to stay in Paris on a reasonable budget and she was very generous with us.
the apartment is located in 98 avenue  Denfert. It is a very nice location and at walking distance of a lot of interesting place , like the Catacombs and of a metro station.
the apartment is situated in a large inside court with different buildings inside. the owner have a plumbing business here and their apartment. they came and welcome us and introduced us to the apartment they were so sweet it was like visiting family and it felt like we belonged to the place not at all like tourist.

 I had not gone back to France for almost 3 years so this year I really wanted to go. when my daughter decided she wanted to go too he did not take long for us too decide . We were going to go in May. Now we had a lot of things to organize. Tricia found a very good flight from Miami via Berlin to Paris. we will drive to Miami and park the car in a garage.
At first we were a little nervous about the 8 hours drive to Miami but it turned out to be a really nice drive. Tricia drove 4 hours, we had a few short stops and after 4 hours we stopped for lunch . The rest of the 4 hours went pretty fast. we even decided that really it will be quite pleasant to drive to Stuart visit Noreen and Steve next spring.
We had no problem with the parking garage they were quite helpfull and pleasant and drove us to the airport with no issue.
we had an hour or so before our flight so we had lunch and a delicious Margherita
